Aftercare for international patients

Continuity of care after you return home.

High-quality aftercare is part of every treatment at z-aesthetic — not an add-on. For patients who have travelled from abroad, we provide structured aftercare guidance and maintain communication with your home dental team.

Immediate aftercare

  • Detailed written aftercare instructions in your language are provided at discharge
  • Emergency contact number for the first 48 hours after any procedure
  • Photographic documentation of your treatment outcome provided on request
  • Follow-up video call within 7 days of your return home (for implant and major restorative cases)

Ongoing care

  • Annual professional cleaning (PZR) — ideally at z-aesthetic, or coordinated with your local dentist
  • We provide your local dentist with a full clinical report, X-rays, and prosthetic specifications on request
  • For implant patients: annual radiographic check either here or with your home dentist (we provide protocols)
  • Remote consultation available for non-urgent questions at any time

Emergency contact

If you experience acute pain, swelling, or a prosthetic issue after returning home, contact us immediately at info@z-aesthetic.de or by phone (+49 208 698 888 69). For dental emergencies that require physical treatment, we will coordinate with a local specialist in your area where possible.

Frequently asked questions

First, keep the restoration — do not discard it. Contact us immediately. In most cases, re-bonding or recementation is a straightforward procedure that your local dentist can perform using the specifications we provide. We will guide you through the process and coordinate with your local dentist if needed.

We provide a complete clinical handover document including X-rays, treatment report, material specifications, and implant data sheet (for implant patients). With your consent, we send this directly to your home dentist. Most dentists find this documentation complete and sufficient to continue your care.

We stand behind our work. Restorations that fail due to a technical defect within a reasonable period are addressed at no additional cost. Wear and damage from external causes (trauma, grinding without protection, neglect of hygiene) are not covered. We are transparent about what is and is not within our responsibility.
